This tattoo is dedicated to my two great-grandmother’s, Lucille Collier and Mary Lewis. The butterflies are for each of them, the music notes for my great-grandmother who passed away, and the puzzle pieces for my great-grandmother who is still, fortunately, alive. The blossoms are a part of a dogwood tree which bloom around my birthday, and there are six blossoms because I am the third generation on each side of my family.
This tattoo was done by Stephanie at Fat Ink in Wesley Chapel, FL.
This started off as a joke between my boyfriend and I, 3 years ago. We seemed so compatible and I told him we just fit together so perfectly and (both being lovers of legos) he joked that we “clicked together like Legos”. We have since carried around with us a super glued pink and blue Lego everywhere we go. As a gift to me he made the appointment and told me he wanted to get it tattooed. We got it done at Cannibal Graphics in OKC.
fuckyeahtattoos:To remind me that this is my life, and my story. When I look at this, I remember that I am strong, and that I, not those around me, am responsible for my own happiness. And by that same token, no one can bring me down. I’ve got this; I don’t need to be saved.
Thanks to James at Tar Heel Tattoo for this amazing work.
Hello, my name is Roi and I am in a band named The Material. After a recent show in Albuquerque, NM we decided to get matching tattoos of our personal mantra, “To Life”. You can watch an explanation of the mantra in an interview we did with our friends at Keep A Breast here —> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LhcRIY1QhXk. You can also check out The Material by clicking the pic or going to www.facebook.com/thematerialmusic.
